Free Pattern Download: -UPDATED- Crochet Viva Glitz Fringed Scarf by Janice Krauser for Sheep Thrills

There is so much talent in Broward County and Sheep Thrills Yarn Shop embraces and celebrates your creativity!  We are lucky to have a particularly talented crafter on our advisory board, yarn crafter Janice Krauser.  Janice is accomplished in both crocheting and knitting.  When the FEZA Viva Glitz Neckpiece became all the rage at Sheep Thrills, Janice stepped in and wrote a pattern for a crochet version as well.

Like the knitted neckpiece, the crocheted neckpiece is easy to wear, a beautiful addition to your wardrobe, and makes a great gift.  Every time I wear my knitted version, I get compliments and I am excited to whip up my own crocheted version as well!

  1. Hi Janice,
Thank you for your pattern. I’m on row 17 and have realized I must have misread your instructions. I have more than 100 single crochets left in the middle of the scarf so there’s no way it will come to a V in seven rows. Aside from the beginning and end instructions the picture looks like single crochet. Did you mean maybe to keep repeating the sc together throughout the row? I hate to take apart the scarf but now sure how far my creativity and the remaining yarn will take me. 😉

    1. Hi, Susiee! I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the pattern. You are correct. You should have fewer single crochets in the middle of the scarf right now. I will need to graph this out to make the math come out, but if you will bear with me I think I can help you. I am also going to send you a personal email in order to make sure we stay in contact about this. Thank you for trying the pattern and I’ll post a more specific answer here after I’ve determined the problem. – Caissa @artlikebread

    2. Susiee, on row 17 you should have about 26 sc left in the piece. I need to update the pattern to make it clearer with row counts. Please stay tuned to the blog for these updates. I appreciate you reaching out.
